Allied Concrete Win Gold at 2019 Concrete Awards

Allied Concrete becomes the first ready mix concrete company in New Zealand to achieve Gold Status, as part of the Concrete NZ Plant Audit Scheme.

Allied Concrete’s Penrose, Auckland, and Nelson plants secured the inaugural Gold status, presented at the Concrete NZ Conference in Dunedin 10-12 October.

The Plant Audit Scheme provides an independent audit of 188 ready mixed concrete plant’s quality systems throughout New Zealand.

Concrete NZ Introduce New Award System

Plants that receive no corrective actions following the auditing process receive an Excellence certificate.

Under the new system:

  • Gold Status – plants that achieve Excellence consecutively for 10 years
  • Silver Status - plants that achieve Excellence consecutively for 5 years
  • Bronze Status - plants that achieve Excellence consecutively for 3 years

Allied Concrete plants accounted for 77% of all 22 plants that received either Gold, Silver or Bronze status, a testament to Allied’s commitment to quality across all aspects of production.

  • Allied Concrete's Setters Line, Palmerston North Plant (Zone 2)
